Special thanks to Bishamon again. Lots of new styles, I've only seen some of them on the photos, others never ever. Hopefully pix are coming soon too.

Processed and uploaded all of the missing images for the article. Several impressive rust pits, and general overview of the blade after 14 weeks of testing. All of the images are in the same gallery, linked to the article.

Went through my records from the time of testing, found couple things missing in the review, Updated accordingly. Nothing huge, few more notes, on the negative side though.

Latrobe Crusader steel composition is pretty much on the spec with AISI M3:2 tool steel. All the major elements are rather close to lower end of the spec range.

Unusual knives, sadly not very good at what knives should be at, cutting. Exceedingly soft steel, awkward and slippery handle. I don't have pretty much anything good to say about it.

I've ended the experiment, missing photos will be added today. Short report is that I ended up with very real rust pitting on the blade. I've decided to rerun the test, because inthis series the dishwasher had no water softener in it, which should've accelerated the rust. On the other hand not all dishwashers have water softener tank in them anyway. So, it was a good test and after I conduct second run, it'll be more data for comparison, at least we'll know how much difference water softener makes in terms of preventing or slowing down corrosion.

Added short descriptions for several popular knife steels and few more Latrobe alloys.

Added Latrobe CM52 high speed tool steel composiiton. As you can guess, it's Latrobe's version of the AISI M52 tool steel. Pretty much the same steel, a little less Vanadium, 1.85% instead of standard 2%, but a little mode Molybdenum, 4.50% vs. 4.00% in standard specification. That's all.

Added 120W4 cold work tool steel, 1.2414 W-nr. No direct analog in AISI or any other steel standard I can find. I guess, exclusively German steel.
