One dude complained in app review case steel wasn't there. I've checked, well I did have Case CV which is a short name. What I don't understand how do people search or why they don't search using dedicated search button... Type case and it pops up. Well, ok added it with full name - Monday, April 1, 2013 23:38:50

Got multiple user requests to add alloying element effects to the app. I've added that feature to the Android app about a month ago, and finally made it for the ios version as well. Same deal, in detail view and graph view tap on the elements toolbar item and then, in the popup list tap in the info icon, it'll display alloying element effects.

One of the readers brought to my attention that CCR(California Code Of Regulations) has a separate provision dealing with knives and dangerous objects on the grounds and in the buildings of the University Of California. Basically, unless you are a student, or employee or have a lawful work to do with your knife or bunch of other stuff, it's a no. As it is phrased, you can get arrested for carrying a screwdriver...

Revisions and updates were going on and in for last two weeks. Number of alloy groups were missing notes, and that was the main focus of these updates. Will continue as usual.

Went through the database, fixed few incorrectly marked records, added descriptions for several alloys.

Maintenance release. Main highlight being a crash fix, when in the Recently Viewed list mode which seems to be popular, database update can change alloy name in the list. That'd cause a crash, which I've fixed in this release. Few minor fixes as well, such as adding missing element names and molar masses. Enjoy.

Watanabe/Martell Nessmuk

One of those experimental knives, that turned out extremely well. Wanted nessmuk, larger one at that and from Aogami 2 steel. Obviously Shinichi Watanabe was the guy to work with, and later on Dave Martell installed the handle. Kudos to both for an excellent job. IMHO the knife turned out just beautiful and its performance is just superb, I am very happy with it at least. Details in the review, follow the link.

Lots of UI improvements, or so I think. Fixed a crash which was caused by incorrect db data, reported by few users last week. Other improvements and optimizations. Selecting identical listing no longer results in database refresh, current values are always highlighted in the listing windows and so on. New feature inspired by cutlerylovers review, added alloying elements effects to the app detail and graph views and included the same info in the help file, although from what I gather based on last 3 years of published app experience, nobody reads help, even on the complex app like this...

As commenters said, knife steel apps got one more review, this time by known youtube reviewer Cutlerylover. I'm glad it was very positive :) And in the wake of new wave of the comments got one more 1star, someone pissed off because he thinks I am anti-second amendment, seriously WTF?!!! I developed and maintain desert eagle pistol FAQ for crying out lout, aside from all other things on my websites.

Version 4.17 is online. Fixed a bug when standard value from settings dialog was resulting in incorrect search results from advanced search dialog. In short, it wasn't supposed to be involved in search constraints, but it was, and now it's all good. Search away ;)
