Found new document, pretty good list of JUS to W-Nr standard conversions. Obviously, most of them are already in the chart, that standard was added more than a year ago. Still, dug up about half a dozen new names missing from the chart, still digging.

Found GOST 9KH4M3F2AGST, definitely can compete with AFNOR steels in terms of convoluted naming. Anyhow, high speed tool steel, used to make tools(according to description). Interesting specs, especially Ca in its composition, which I donno why is in there.

Replaced java text ticker on the home page with Javascript ticker. Lately newer browsers don't show much love for java and require java as a plugin, not providing built in module. because of that browser would display install plugin dialog instead of the ticker, etc. That's gone now, javascript is usually there. Fixed bug in the knife steel chart where table column manager was not working, caused by optimized css files. Works alright now.

Forgot to report :) On 10.21 next version was released to the Google android market and few others as well. Plenty of new features, bugfixes, stremlined UI to be more like the rest of it. Added "Recently viewed" feature as per user request. Dude who requested it, owes me 5 star rating for sure :)

Wanted to release it last week, but decided to add Recently Viewed feature, one user asked for it, and I figured it was a good idea. Fixed two more or less serious issues with navigation and one graphics glitch. UI is more unified and in line with overall black theme.

Added two alloys made by Outokumpu, at least one of them is used by British knife company, namely SF.100 steel, and another is E1.30% steel, which is plain high carbon steel, similar to Hitachi Shirogami 1 steel, except not as pure on contaminants(P, S).

Wow, what a surprise form apple, or may be third time was a charm? Unlike previous two versions, review process took 7 business days(9 if we count just days), instead of 10 business days. What a progress :) 30% faster... Imagine that, reviewing small app again and again, with improved efficiency, who says Apple won't innovate and improve. Anyhow added listing support, iphone 5 support and few ui tweaks, designed to improve user productivity.

Added several records for Chinese GB standard, Japanese JIS standard, about a dozen proprietary names fro couple German makers and so on. Updated notes on several CPM alloys based on the information provided by Niagara Specialty Metals president, Mr. Bob Shabala, my sicere thanks for help.

Sent the new version today. Can't say Apple makes it easy though. Complicated submission process, plus had to add new screenshots for iphone 5 and so on. All that on top of new features and iphone 5 support. Whatever, now another 2 weeks of waiting for the review and you'll have it.

Busse Hog Muk LE

One more limited edition Busse, Anorexic LE Hog Muk. Small utility knife, very capable at that. Anorexic in Busse terms means extra lean and thin, which for the knife of this size is unquestionably a positive change. Well, fat Busse aficionados may disagree, but that's why there are different knives ;) I'm pretty happy with Nessnuk inspired Hog Muk design and even ordered custom version from Shinichi Watanabe. Good knife, from very reputable maker, details in the detailed review ;)
