As I mentioned yesterday, features are up :) So, what do we have this time: 1) Graph is no longer constrained to 800x600 size. You can select from several different sizes, controlled by either settings form, or query parameter sz; 2) Improved autosuggest, which now can match search strings against both, name and A.k.a. columns and display matches in name (alternate names) form. Selecting the item copies just the alloy name; 3) Skipped alloys, i.e. those that don't fit in the graph are displayed in gray color, so you can easily spot them; 4) Alternate names (when available) are displayed in the single alloy analyze mode, below the notes.

For one, 52100 steel was not listing SR-101 in the a.k.a column, so added that. Second, S7 steel was listing SR-101 as an alternate name, which was incorrect, Busse Scrap yard knives use modified S7 steel, but label it as SR-77. Fixed that as well. Streange so many Busse/Swamp Rat/Scrap Yard fans never caught on that :)

That was the last weekend, three knives sharpened. Easiest, and biggest was the lonaer, Shun chukabocho or a Chinese cleaver. 60-61HRC, and even if cleavers aren't that easy to sharpen free hand, due to their sheer size it was still faster than the other two knives at 64HRC. Well, it'll dull that much faster too. For the record other two knives were rehardened BM 710 M2 and Phil Wilson CPM 3V utility scalpel.

Finally the mysterious Carbon V is in :) Although, as I have learned it was Wayne Goddard that analyzed the steel and published its composition in his book The Wonder Of Knifemaking. Composition - Carbon V steel.
