Added bunch of PX, CSN, SIS alloy names. Revised AFNOR, GOST and BS standards, set correct composition flags and records. Approaching 3800 names :) And still working on the damn iphone steel chart app. That's about 80% done.

Revised all DIN and W-Nr standard specifications and set their correct statuses in respective reference groups. That should eliminate bunch of false messages about generated compositions, plus it allows for much better and precise calculations of compositions for other, proprietary alloys from Germany.

Added new article with overview of the technologies used in modern metallurgy. At least the processes mentioned or referenced in the knife steel chart. Stil not very clear what are the fine differences between CPM, PM, MM processes, because their respective descriptions as published by companies are pretty much identical. Whatever differences I've doug up about PM and MM processes are in the article. I'll continue the research.

More than 200 new alloy names, including PN and CSN standard names, proprietary names for popular tool steels, fixes for incorrect naming groups and compositions and more. Total, well over 3700 alloy names in the database.

Fixed incorrectly displayed note mark on some alloys, resulting in an empty note popup. Graph builder had more fixes. Corrected link in the single alloy viewer, now switching from single alloy view to comparison graph happens correctly. Fixed suggestions list generator, some alloys couldn't be displayed when selected form suggestions list, that's fixed. Also, the alloys listed in the group as equivalents, or similar alloys are marked with *, so you can tell which one are you picking.

Fixed javascript bug, preventing audio playback in Safari browser. Obviously, the whole thing goes back to comparability. Safari decides not to play .ogg files, other browsers don't wanna play mp3s, and so on. Anyway, safari works now.

Work was completed today. unexpectedly problematic was the crossbrowser audio playback. I otherwords, even today, modenr browser support for simple audio payback sucks. Still, managed to get things working and now next to the terms there will be a small speaker icon if th eaudio file is available and you can hear its correct Japanese pronounciation. My sincere thanks go to Sara and Jon - http://japaneseknifeimports.com for their time and effort recording theaudio voiceovers.

Found it today, added. Alenox 18Cr stainless steel, used in custom and production knives. unfortunatelly, composition isn't complete, so if you happen to have more data, please help. similar to AISI 440C steel.

Ordered fee months back, on the ganza. I was late as usual and got one of the last ones, #597 out of 600 I think. Satin finish, with choil. I really like Respirene C handles on those basic series and M-Infi works in large blades superbly. We'll see how it all works out, 10 inch blade, pretty sharp and once I have time I'll do some choppin' ;)
