CPM Rex 66(Crucible) - Developed in 2005. Crucible super high speed tool steel. As Crucible says, similar to AISI T15, and Crucible CPM Rex T15, except it has higher content of Cobalt, 8% instead of usual 5%, and less Tungsten. Cobalt should help with higher attainable hardness, but the primary goal of the new alloy development was increased toughness. Improved toughness in high hardness steel is always a welcome bonus for knives.
